Who said I was trying to promote Linux? :) Also, I personally don't have any problem using fdisk and don't think there is anything wrong with it.
2. I did say I used the Disk Utility, which is a nice GUI front-end, only it works in OS X. If OS X == FreeBSD and FreeBSD == Unix/Linux, isn't that really the promotion of nice GUI tools in Unix?

Regarding NTFS support in OS X, I assume it's on purpose, just as windows can't format large partitions. Marketing reasons. This way I'd keep using a disk formatted in NTFS - which is presumably not what Apple wants.shlomoidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08509735030020026930noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20434908.post-79469958237682427032008-03-09T10:13:00.000-07:002008-03-09T10:13:00.000-07:00>>Sort of poetic justice.Ironic, sure, but where's...>>Sort of poetic justice.<<

Ironic, sure, but where's the justice?

fdisk - way to promote Linux, buddy! Sure, don't tell anyone about the nice GUI frontends, let people assume the only way to do something in linux is the oldschool CLI.

A pity OX S can't write NTFS. Why won't apple port the linux driver? Afraid of Microsoft?Zeevhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12468742992535608146noreply@blogger.com
